Our County Companion

When I look at those numbers, Oh Boy!
My brain screams with a hell lot of joy!
A magical journey, to another world,
A visit, worth more than platinum or gold. ✨

But tarry here, dear one,
It ain't all about frolic and fun,
Concentration follows you throughout the run,
Alongside, perseverance required, to let the counting go on.

With Kindergarten Geometry, the journey began,
Hardest task for a tiny tot, likewise for an old man,
Was to make a line, straight as an arrow,
Without shouting frequently for erasers, to borrow.

The expedition continues,
Through the ecstatic number rhymes we had to cruise,
Screaming and jumping, we passed through,
Unwrapping the mysteries, quenching the desire to grow.

Learnt to add and soon came subtraction,
Had quite a tough time with multiplication,
But when our tables no longer looked like Chinese,
Division had entered and we mastered it with ease.

Slowly and steadily, it began to increase,
The complexity had begun to increase,
But nothing caused my love for Math to decrease,
I'd keep going on, hands never ready to freeze.

Area and volume, we were told to find,
The symmetrical diagrams filled fascination in our mind,
Little did we know, that there's a catch to it,
But the formulae too, weren't too hard for our wit.

Excitedly, looked into my High School Math Text,
X, Y and Z suddenly came into the world of numbers,
Intruders, who caused in my mind, lightning and thunders,
When taught, developed an instant love, with curiosity asking "What next?"

Seeing my Seniors plotting points and coordinate pairs,
On green and red papers with a millions squares,
Desired to make the parabolas and bars,
And within the bat of our eyelashes, the graphs were finally ours.

Head or Tail? A 2 or a 6 on the die?
An Ace or a Queen? Win, Lose or another Tie?
Yes, Indeed, entered into the world of Probability,
Though it is meant to be "Practical" complexity,
For patience, rarely urged to use in reality. ♣♠

Come on, you can't deny this one,
All of you must have been left, starin',
At your books, when you saw differentiation,
And its much-more-terrifying-looking counterpart - Integration.
But with your formulae on your fingertips,
You managed to finish them like a bag of crisps.

Always seeking for similar fanatics,
For I'd love to share all tips and tactics.
Mathematics, you've taught me to be passionate,
And your omnipresent nature, I totally appreciate,
How, Oh how, can you be a reason for annoyance,
To me, you're an art with great flamboyance. ☺

Su'Mir Age' 21

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
                                                                                              - King Solomon

The above is rightly said, Sir,
But my case is to be taken in reverse order.

Everything, monotonous or nonsensical, seems to be fun with you;

The drives with the stars twinkling overhead, to the sea shores,
Or even other things as mere as household chores,
Times of regret reckoned, seem very few.

My partner in every crime,

Our sources of pleasure shan't go past their prime,
Your sense of humour, oh boy,
Make my nasolacrimal duct secrete tears of joy.

As multitalented as ever,

Mastered the knack of growing forever,
A Playwright or an actor, an able speaker or singer,
You're all of it, everything at the tip of your finger.

Saviour, you are, rescuing from each trouble,
Helping me climb every sort of hill,
Dravid may be Mr.Dependable for the Indian cricket team,
But to support our roof, you're the only required beam.

Home without you, indeed quite silent,

Nobody to quarrel with, none with whom I can be violent,

Arguments have grown rarer, on the petty decisions to be made,
Like those between Pizza Hut and Domino's; they've all started to fade.

  And today, on your 21st,
I pray that all your worries begin to rust,
Strength, to toil in every field,
In order to multiply your yield.

The Epitome Of Love

"My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it."
                                                                                                               -  Mark Twain

Mischief is what I excel at,
Undeniably, by nature, I am a brat,
Running around, being as playful as a kitten,
And that patient soul chasing, having worn a mitten.

Up before the sun,
She's always on the run,
Right on time, she prepares our meal,
Satisfied, she ever makes me feel.

Her arms, comprising of tenderness,

When cuddled with, make me forget every speck of forlornness.
Her lap makes the most comfortable spot,
For my head to be laid and every worriment to rot.

If she's in trouble, hard to find out, no matter how deep you probe,

A smile being her favourite, of all elements in her wardrobe;
Give her a problem, even if it is as hard as sun-dried clay,
She'll still wear a smile and show you that for her it's just child's play.

A remarkable cook she is, can prepare every dish,
Every bite, for sure, you would relish.
Any cuisine, she gives it her own extraordinary touch,
Incomparable;  every nook  and corner searched as much.

Never on her face will you see a frown,
But when her beloveds fall ill, she'll bring the roof down.
She is the personification of care and concern,
Sacrifices everything and expects nothing in return.

Be it a lioness and her cub or a doe and her fawn,

A mother and child's relationship is the best, ever born,
She's always there for you, helping you soar above,
She is nothing but The Epitome Of Love.

The Chronicles Of Sanaa

It all started with that monotonous excursion,
What was supposed to be a “recreation”,
Though the excursion was as boring as hell,
The Gods of Friendship had struck a bell.

“How would we gel?” was my first reaction,
But the fact remains that opposites show greater attraction.
Wouldn’t consider us to be exact opposites,
As we tend to exhibit telepathy at various sites.

Even if we were apart by a thousand miles,
You never fail to bring upon my face - a smile,
Even for every not so hilarious thing you do,
My Hyena laugh is always on the go.

Be it chefs, attires, movies or even mimics,
I regard you as one of the best critics.
A flourishing MC, Narrator and Counsellor,
And a cook, worthy to every type of dweller,
And if ever a book you write,
The sales would surely soar higher than a kite.

I admire you for your frankness,
Don’t ever let it disappear,
For it makes room for improvement,
Which later may make me happier.

The early morning Marina and it's serenity,
Capturing the moments like there's no one in the vicinity,
The full of hopes shopping that we've usually planned,
Leaves us with just a bag or two in hand.

I adore you to the moon and back,
And I've always got your back,
There's not a thing I wouldn't do,
To have someone as special as you. ♥

A Look At Life

Ever wondered how a roller coaster ride would be without rising and falling every other second? You would neither have excitement nor fear, just a monotonous ride, not much to look forward to right? ;) You would probably miss the feeling of your stomach turning upside down with those butterflies dancing in there and your heart in your throat, making it difficult for you to swallow. Very often life is compared to a roller coaster ride, and its ups and downs. Undoubtedly, Life cannot be joyous forever. All we can do is look at the brighter side of life and learn from experiences.

Don't wait until the last second, as adventurous as it sounds, it's kinda a torture to combat the stress too. Just like what Aamir Khan had told to Madhavan (as Farhan Qureshi) in 3 idiots - " Woh kaam kar jisme tera talent hai. Mujhe machino se pyaar hai. Engineering mera passion hai. Ishq hai Jaanawaron se, shaadi kar raha hai machino se. " You too, be not what you know, but who you are. Put your heart and soul into whatever you do, then what you do would seem like a recreation and when it's show time, hit the nail on the head and then rejoice in the heat of the moment.

Every cloud has a silver lining. When in tough times, just hold on and go with the flow. Even when the roller coaster goes through a 360° turn, hang upside down, have faith in the literally breath taking seat belt and look at the world from a different angle. ;) c(: Have you looked at the world with such a perspective? You won't get such a view for long, for all you know, the next second you've overcome the loop. So just Sit Back & Enjoy The Ride.B| That's it for now. So Good-Bye until next time. :D
